Technology + Art : Tablets

Hello Readers, Mosno here,
Tablets are great, I love them, they are convenient, light, and now a-days very powerful.
There are many flavors, and many manufactures out there, so what I'm going to do is tell you about MY tablet, the one that I choose, because it fits what I need it to be.

I have the Galaxy Note 8, and here is why I got it.
-It's an Android OS (which I prefer over Apple OS).
-It comes with an integrated stylus, which comes handy when I draw sketches for idea for album covers.
-Its an 8inch tablet, so it's a perfect size for reading as well.

But one of the main features I got it for, was for its native application called "S Note".
I love this app, it allows you to create different types of notes, including ones which allow you to draw and audio record into the note.

That feature is by far, my favorite feature. Because it allowed me to create a digital song journal. When I'm working on new songs, I can type lyrics, draw the chords of the song, and record an audio demo, all in the same note. That is awesome.

Before having this tablet, I would use my phone to record the audio, a physical notebook to draw the chords, and then write my lyrics on either the same notebook or somewhere else.
So you see, getting the right tablet can help make your creative life easier.

Those are my two virtual cents.
I hope this post was helpful

I love it when I learn new words, my new favorite one is Selenophilia.
You have no idea how excited I was to learn that this word existed! It basically means "A Love of the moon", which would make me a Selenophile "(n) a person who loves the moon".
How freakin cool is that!!?

I have always had a healthy obsession with the moon, I never knew why, and I never questioned it. I've just always found comfort in sitting or standing, and stare at the moon. It always clams me down.
In my desert culture, the Moon is used as a symbol of beauty many times, and as you may ha
ve heard in many of my songs, I use the moon quite often in my writing.

The cool thing is, I learned about this word, just as I had finished writing a new song called "Sahara Moon", of course. So this new exciting discovery lead me down a moonlight rabbit hole, and now I'm working on a 5 song EP of love songs that are moon themed.
Needless to say the word "Selenophilia" makes it …

Bandcamp \\ vs // Patreon

As you may have heard, Bandcamp has recently launched a "Subscription" service for their artist and their supporters. The main idea is for fans/supports of an artist, would "Subscribe" to him/her. By doing so the supporter would pay a monthly charge to the artist through Bandcamp, and in return they get 1st dibs on new songs, and even exclusive material.
The new music is automatically ready for streaming on your Bandcamp App, and you would even have the option to download it if you like. There is even an option to give Subscribers a discount on other merch, and you can of course make your whole back catalog available as well.

Patreon has been doing a similar thing for a while now, but with Patreon its open for more than just music. Its for "Artists" in general. And I have to say, I do tend to find more Webcomic and Digital Artists using Patreon. I also see a lot of Video content creators on there as well, and some "Audio" artist.

I'm sure th…

Closer to the moon

Great News friends.
I can officially say, that I have finished recording my "Songs of Selenophilia" album, woho. It took a while and I apologize, but a few things have come up on the way. I moved resting palces (but still in Baltimore area), I co-produced Janice B.'s latest album "Mantra" with Maurice of StinkyFace Music, I'm also learning some new Tech skills, like how to program in Python, and Web Development for a side project I'm working on.

Also I think I like this image to be used in some way for the album.
Its an photo taken of the Supermoon, from Baltimore, by my good friend Rob Hinkal of ilyAIMY , which I think appropriate since this moon album was created in Baltimore, it'll be a full circle type of thing.

Alright, I just wanted to share the good news with you all.
I'll be back soon with more updated.
Big hugs, and much love.

When you have a chance, go be creative today.
